Full day island experience at the UNESCO world heritage site Waddensea. Small group tour!

We will leave Amsterdam heading North and will drive through the beautiful Dutch countryside: land claimed from the sea, past farms, villages and windmills.
After about an hour and a half we will arrive in the harbor of Den Helder, where we will board the ferry that takes us to the island of Texel. The Wadden Sea which we will cross is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a refuge for a huge number of animals, including seals and birds. It ́s unique character of intertidal sands and mudflats makes the Wadden Sea a calm sea with hardly any risk of uncomfortable swell.

After a 25 minute crossing, we will arrive at the island of Texel. We will tour the island by car and on foot. We will have a couple of hours to explore this beautiful island, it’s historic villages, beach and nature reserves, including the famous Slufter and Utopia.

We will stop for lunch in one of the historic villages, in a cozy island restaurant. The chef will prepare a delicious meal with fresh local produce. Please let us know about any specific dietary requirements!

At the end of the day, we will take you back to Amsterdam, dropping you off at our meeting point near Central Station.
